Clinical Teachers Association

The Clinical Teachers Association (CTA) has negotiated an out of province/country travel medical insurance plan for you and your eligible dependents. Eligible clinical faculty includes physicians who have one or more benefits through the UWO-CTA benefits plan. The cost for this plan is paid for by the applicable department. It is recommended that you review the policy booklet, below, which outlines the benefits and exclusions.

The purpose of the out of country coverage was to provide a more comprehensive travel plan than is offered through OPIP. This new plan has a $5M per trip, per person limit for 90 day trips, versus the $1M lifetime limit through the OPIP plan.

If an emergency occurs while travelling within Canada or the United States, phone 1-866-870-1898, or if anywhere else in the world, phone 1-819-566-1898.
